Bay Window Treatment Ideas
October 3rd, 2007
If you want, you can have stained glass in part of your bay window to add color to incoming light. If stained glass is too expensive for your budget, you can also hang a set of reflective chimes, or stained glass chimes in the middle window.
The idea is to make your bay window appear attractive on the outside, while people on the inside find delight in the play of colored lights that your stained glass can bring in.
You can also opt to add flowering plants to the outside of your bay window, if it is on the ground floor of your house, or if you can attach a ledge on which to place plants. With plants and colored chimes, you might not even have to add heavy and expensive drapes.
Be adventurous and creative, but don??™t go overboard: a bay window on its own is quite attractive, so you may simply be gilding a lily if you add velvet and roses and stained glass into one elaborate, but overdone heap.
