What to expect with professional window installation
If your old windows are cracking or peeling, let in cold drafts, or just don't function properly, you might be in need of new replacement windows.
If that's the case you are probably wondering what to expect from the installation process itself. How does it work? Is there any way you can simplify the process?
Here is a look at how the window installation process goes, as done by real pros.
Window Installation Process:
Step 1: Before any old windows and/or doors are being removed, we personally measure each opening to make sure every unit is built or ordered to size.
Step 2: Installers carefully remove existing windows and/or doors. This is being done when the new windows/doors can be installed at the same time.
Step 3: Your new custom fit windows and/or doors are then professionally installed by our experienced technicians, who know which method of installation is best for each type of home siding.
Step 4: Insulate and trim interior. Perimeter Insulation is added to seal drafts. Interior trim is hung to create a finished look to your windows and/or doors.
Step 5: Seal and finish exterior. Our installers seal the exterior to make it watertight and do the final touch ups.
Step 6: Clean-up. All of the old windows and/or doors are then removed from the job site along with all the debris due to installation.
Step 7: Lead Installer will inspect and review the installation as well as teach you how to operate your new windows.
As the owner, there are also a few things you can do to make sure the installation process will run smoothly.
