- Wood Species. Most Heritage Series windows & doors are constructed of Pine (72) as standard, for a stable product that will accept many beautiful finishes. But don't let that limit your plans.
- Construction. From the selection of wood to delivery of the final product, Kolbe meets strict standards for quality construction. For instance, windows are sealed on both sides of the glass. Half-rounds are constructed with doweled joints and turnbuckles at critical stress points for stability. Cutlite bars are constructed with half-lap joints for strength and hand-sanded for a professional finish.
- Glass. Heritage Series products have H°K dual-insulating glass units with LoE²-270 coating, argon gas, and Thermo-Edge spacers on most units as standard. This helps them to meet or exceed ENERGY STAR® guidelines for energy efficiency in all climate zones.
